FBC Tulia's Core Values

LOVE GOD. LOVE OTHERS.

All of our efforts, as Christians, are centered on loving God and showing the love of God to others both in and out of the Church. We do this by acknowledging the fact that we are all sinners, accepting God’s grace, forgiveness and salvation through Jesus Christ, and by building relationships, caring for others’ needs and seeking opportunities within the Church and community to be servants, giving all glory to God.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these. Mark 12:30-31

COMMITTED TO GOD’S WORD.

We believe the Bible is God’s Holy Word and our supreme guide, standard, and authority in everything. We are committed to the preaching, teaching and personal study of God’s Word, recognizing that by doing so our walk with Christ becomes enriched, authentic and fruitful.

Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of scripture, to preaching and teaching.1 Timothy 4:13
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. James 1:22

COMMITTED TO CHRIST AND HIS CHURCH.

We are a family of believers committed to Christ and each other. We share each other’s burdens and joys, intercede in prayer for one other and encourage each other in the Lord. We strive to be intentional in building strong families, genuine friendships, and relevant mentorships; all centered on God’s unchanging love and grace. Our goal is authentic, accountable, encouraging relationships that produce disciples for Christ.

Moreover, let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25

COMMITTED TO THE UNCOMMITTED.

Our mission is to join Jesus, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, to reach Tulia, Swisher County, and the world with the life-changing reality of Jesus Christ. God desires that none should perish; therefore, as His church, we strive to reflect that conviction in our individual lives and our corporate efforts. We pray that God gives us His heart for the lost.

However, you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Acts 1:8
